Flash / UI Developer

Carousel30 Interactive Media seeks a full time Front End Developer to add to its staff. You must be available to work on site, at our office in Old Town Alexandria. We are metro-accessible from King Street on the blue and yellow lines. We are a small team and work in a relaxed environment. Carousel30 offers full benefits, a competitive salary, and a flexible work schedule.

The candidate must have a good to expert level understanding of:

• (X)HTML
• CSS

Good to expert level specialization in one of the following areas is required:

• Flash / Flex via ActionScript 3
• Drupal
• Web Design

Bonus knowledge:

• One or more of the above specializations

Senior Web Designer

We are looking for an Interactive Designer with at least 5 years' experience creating Web site designs for a wide range of clients. Fast-paced agency experience managing multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously preferred. Also need experience with both large data and information-intensive sites and smaller Flash sites.

Must-have skills:

• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
• Flash Animation
• Excellent Communication Skills

Preferred skills:
As many of the following as possible:

• Flash AS3
• Motion Graphics (Adobe After Effects preferred)
• HTML/CSS
• Basic PHP
• Print Design (Adobe InDesign preferred)
• Drawing/Illustration

Drupal Developer

The position requires a candidate with the capacity to handle multiple projects. The candidate should have at least three years experience in the field, and able to work both independently and on a team.

Skills required for the position include:

• Drupal 6+
• Creating Modules for Drupal 6+
• Themeing for Drupal 6+
• PHP
• CSS
• MySQL
• JavaScript and jQuery

Great to haves:

• OOP Knowledge
• Experience with one or more: .NET, Java, Perl, ActionScript, Objective-C

Must be willing to commute to our office in Old Town, Alexandria, located 3/4 of a mile from King Street Metro Station.

Online Marketing Internship

Assist our Online Marketing work by doing research and participating in our interactive campaigns. Good writing and communication skills are a must. This is an unpaid position, but offers great experience at a fast-growing interactive firm.

Candidates must be enrolled in a Communications or Marketing program at a college or University and must be able to come on-site to our offices in Old Town Alexandria at least 2 days a week.
