The DC Ad Club, metropolitan Washington’s chapter of the American Advertising Federation, has re-elected Sherri Anne Green of LM&O Advertising as president through December 2013. Also elected were Greg Kihlström of Carousel30 as vice president, Lynn Osborne of Ad Management Insights as treasurer, and Debbie Kaplan of Urban Igloo as secretary. Karen Riordan of SmithGifford is immediate past-president. All officers serve a one-year term.
Green, shown above, has been a DC Ad Club member for more than a decade, chaired Advertising Week DC in 2009, served two terms on the board of directors and one two-year term as president, founded the club’s networking committee, and currently serves on the American Advertising Federation national Board of Directors, representing clubs with 500 or more members.
“The past year has been significant for us: we just launched a new brand and website, which was the result of much work done by our member volunteers,” said Green. “We also introduced our Career Catalyst mentoring program, received a record number of American Advertising Federation club achievement awards, and more importantly, achieved a high level of participation in and networking at our events and programs throughout the area.”
The DC Ad Club also elected the following new board members to two-year terms: Eric Frost; Peter Kaye, Honest Tea; Judy Markoe, Big Picture Marketing; Patrick Rafferty, Rafferty Weiss Media; Ingrid Vax, Spurrier Media Group; and Louise Salas, lms creative + branding + advertising.
Members returning to the Board are: Tiffany Bacon, RP3 Agency; Allison Mataya, Pappas Group; Amanda Sheehan, Comcast Spotlight; and Jodie Warren, MDB Communications. Sarah Polli, The Washington Post, was also appointed by the Board as a voting member.
