Flash Game Design with Facebook Connect Integration
Carousel30 developed a fun and interesting way to spread the message from the Don't Move Firewood campaign through a Flash Game that is integrated with Facebook. The purpose of the campaign is to educate people about how destructive invasive pests are to trees and forests AND how hard it is to destroy the pests once they are identified. To do this, we give the user the ability to customize their bug with a number of accessories, and the option of several methods of destruction to choose from.
Once a bug and method of destruction are chosen, the user gets to view an animation that shows their bug being destroyed. Some things work better than others. Verbal abuse only seems to make the bugs angry, though burning and shredding work very well.
